Raquel McDonough is originally from Long Island, NY. She began dancing at age 4 at Spotlight Dance Studio and continued her training there in ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, jazz, and hip hop. She then became a teacher at Spotlight after high school and taught for the next 13 years, focusing on ballet, pointe, lyrical and choreographing competition routines. During high school, Raquel studied at Long Island High School for the Arts where she extended her training in ballet and modern. In college, Raquel joined a modern dance company under the direction of Stanley Berke which focused on Martha Graham technique.

Dance has always been a big part of Raquel’s life and she loves to share that in teaching her students.

Raquel now lives in Lexington, SC, with her husband and children.
