Chevis Fogarty grew up dancing at Bailey Fine Arts Centre where she studied tap, ballet, pointe, jazz and theatrical, alongside owner Cari Kirkland. Together they performed in numerous Dance Theatre of Columbia productions, including “Alice in Wonderland”. Chevis started teaching dance as a junior in high school, and continued teaching at a studio in Charleston while attending college. She later returned back to Columbia and has been on staff at Bailey Fine Arts for nearly 20 years!Chevis is happily married to Marc Fogarty and they have two girls, Ryanne and TaylorAnne, who also dance at Bailey Fine Arts and are a part of the BFA Competition Company. Chevis has worked for AstraZeneca as a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist for the past 20 years, but her passion is teaching dance!
